This artwork is an attempt to specifically make a provisional artwork. With Raphael Rubenstein coining the term in the early 2000s, questions come up if provisional work can be successful if done forcefully, or if a successful Provisional painting only occurs when you are not planning to create one. Provisional painting in general begs the question of what is considered an aesthetically successful painting when using abstract methods.
